Floral Enamel Pendant
This flower necklace is super special to me. Many years ago, I learned how to torch fire liquid enamel on copper from a metalsmith artist, Ken Bova. It was exciting to learn that so much color could come from just the flame of the torch! This technique brings challenges because you really can't predict the resulting color. The reds and white, and even a light aqua color are beautiful on this pendant. I set the enameled copper on to a back plate of sterling silver with 5 little tiny rivets. The flower hangs from an enameled red oval shape on a 24" long and short oxidized sterling silver chain. You can clasp it anywhere on the chain if you want the necklace shorter.
